Privacy Policy

Business Card Tap ("the app") is a digital business card app for Android, published by Hugo Software. It is designed to work offline. We respect your privacy and keep data collection to a minimum.

What you store

The contact details you enter (name, title, company, phone, email, website, address, notes, social links) and any logo image you choose are stored only on your device. Business Card Tap has no account system and no server of its own; we never receive, collect, or store your card information.

What you share

Your card leaves your device only when you share it: by tapping phones (NFC) while the app is open, by showing your QR code, or by choosing to send it as a contact file, a card link or an image (QR poster or video call background). These are direct transfers to the person or app you choose; they do not pass through our servers.

Card link

The NFC tap and the "Send card link" option include a web address of the form tap.bnj.app/c/#…. Your card details are placed after the "#" sign, a part of the address that browsers never send to any server. When someone opens the link, the page decodes your card inside their own browser so they can view and save it. That page loads no analytics and no third-party scripts, and keeps no record of the card.

NFC

Business Card Tap uses your device's NFC hardware to act as a contactless business card only while the app is open and your phone is unlocked, and, when you ask it to, to write your card to a blank NFC sticker. It does not read payment cards, does not scan other tags in the background, and does not log NFC activity.

Home screen widget

If you add the widget, a QR image of your active card is kept in the app's private storage so the widget can display it. Removing the app deletes it.

Backups

If you use "Back up all cards", the backup file goes only where you choose to save or send it.

Advertising

Business Card Tap contains no advertising and bundles no advertising SDK. Your advertising ID is never read.

Purchases

Business Card Tap Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription. Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play, which tells the app only whether a subscription is currently active. We do not receive your payment details, and we operate no purchase server of our own.

Analytics

The app includes no analytics and no third-party trackers and makes no tracking requests.

Children

Business Card Tap is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed at children.

Data deletion

Because your data lives only on your device, you can delete it at any time by deleting your cards in the app or uninstalling the app. We hold no copy of your data anywhere.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves; the current version is always available at this address.
