Privacy Policy

Business Card Tap ("the app") is a digital business card app for Android, published by Hugo Software. It is designed to work offline. We respect your privacy and keep data collection to a minimum.

What you store

The contact details you enter (name, title, company, phone, email, website, social links) are stored only on your device. Business Card Tap has no account system and no server of its own; we never receive, collect, or store your card information.

What you share

Your card is transmitted only when you actively use tap-to-share (NFC) or display your QR code, and only to the device you are sharing with. This is a direct, local transfer; it does not pass through our servers.

NFC

Business Card Tap uses your device's NFC hardware solely to emulate a contactless business card during sharing. It does not read payment cards, does not scan other tags in the background, and does not log NFC activity.

Advertising

The free version displays advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, the AdMob SDK may process device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), approximate location derived from IP address, and ad interaction data, in accordance with Google's privacy policy. On first launch you choose between personalized and limited (non-personalized) ads; you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. Purchasing the ad-free upgrade removes ads and this processing by the ads SDK.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive your payment details.

Analytics

Business Card Tap does not include third-party analytics beyond what the ads SDK provides. The app may periodically fetch a small remote configuration file (feature flags, announcements); this request contains no personal data.

Children

Business Card Tap is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed at children.

Data deletion

Because your data lives only on your device, you can delete it at any time by deleting your cards in the app or uninstalling the app. We hold no copy of your data anywhere.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves; the current version is always available at this address.
